Oakes Farms is pleased to announce progress toward its goal to become a 52-week Grower, Packer and Shipper with the addition of a new farm operation and facility in Flat Rock, Alabama. According to Oakes Vice President Steve Veneziano,“Our goal is to service our program partners and customers year-round.”

Expansion into Alabama also includes a new farm partnership in Clanton, Alabama, which will be led by Oakes head of farming Jeff Batts. Batts will spend the summer in Alabama overseeing the production of green bell peppers, eggplant, jalapeño peppers and mini sweet peppers.
